Latest Updates:
Pittsburgh has emerged from the shadow of its steel past, having now been named one of the most livable cities in the United States.  Its beautiful hills, flowing rivers and numerous bridges highlight the re-awakening the city has experienced in the past few decades.  The 2016 ACB convention had been named the Three Rivers Rhapsody to celebrate the music of concert bands where the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers meet to form the Ohio River in beautiful western Pennsylvania.

James Gourlay
We are delighted to announce that Dr. James Gourlay will lead the convention band in Pittsburgh.  Dr. Gourlay is the General Director of Pittsburgh's own River City Brass, the world's only full-time professional brass band, performing 70 concerts annually all over the USA, and Director of Instrumental Music and University Bands at Wheeling Jesuit University, West Virginia.

We have chosen the beautiful and historic Soldiers and Sailors hall, in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh as our concert venue.  Dedicated in 1910, Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum Trust, Inc. is the nation’s only  military museum dedicated to honoring the men and women of all branches of service, and in all capacities (Active, Reserve, Guard).  This incredible venue hosts a beautiful and acoustically brilliant concert hall that will delight audiences and performers alike.

The recently renovated Wyndham Pittsburgh University Center will serve as the convention hotel.  Located one block from Soldiers and Sailors Hall, convention attendees can enjoy the Wyndham's indoor heated swimming pool, fitness center, free in room WiFi as well as
Bridges Restaurant and Lounge.
